- Oct 23, 2019 Core i5-10210U vs. Core i7-8565U. As you may have noticed by our numerous mentions throughout the review, for us the most telling comparison is the one between the Core i5.
- The 4th generation intels are based off of the Haswell and for the high end gaming cpus, the Haswell-E micro architecture. The 5th generation intels are only based off of the Broadwell micro architecture. The Broadwell-E or 5th generation high end gaming cpus are not out yet. The difference between Haswell and Broadwell is not much.

The Passmark scores are averages from real users running 'Performance Test' software on their systems and posting the results to the web site, enabling the comparison of the relative speeds of the different processors. Performance Test conducts eight different tests and then averages the results together to determine the CPU Mark rating for a system.
All our scores are from Performance Test v9. The latest version v10 has radically changed the algorithms used, meaning that you cannot make meaningful comparisons between scores obtained from v9 and v10. Please bear this in mind if comparing our scores with those on the Passmark website obtained from v10.
